I just made a subbox but looking for less expensive carpeting, i notice they come in huge rolls that i don't need. I'm looking for black carpet just to glue on a 4.5x1.5...

If you have a Walmart nearby(who doesn't anymore??) head back to the auto/RV section. They have rolls of black carpet for $8-$10.

thanks you both, i'll check walmart, i did a internet search and walmart had nothing that's why i thought they wouldn't and then i checked the ebay but the black didn't look very close to the gm black, it doesnt have to be perfect but close at least. thanks again! i'll check walmart. also another reason i didnt go crutchfield because thats a HUGE amount of carpet i'll have left over that i wouldn't be able to sell...

i was at my local walmart this morning and saw that they do have black and grey carpet for $8.88.

i went last night and they are remodeling my walmart. they say they are stop holding supplies for material, such as carpeting

They just remodeled mine. Expect several weeks of everything having moved around from the last time you were there. It sux. The carpeting I was referring to is in the automotive/RV section, not the carpeting/fabric section.

Use a spray adhesive. 3M makes a good one, can't think of the name of it right now though. Or you could use a staple gun with some narrow crown staples.

yeah, dang gorilla glue didnt hold it at all, so i nailed the sides of the box with the carpet since i didnt have adhesive with me at the time :P

The adhesive I used was the 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. Spray one side (carpet), let it sit for about 5 min to get tacky. Spray other side (box), let sit 5 min, press together. Works like a champ, did this for the wall I built for my stereo (sorry, GTP, nothing for the TA yet)
