need help with rear torque arm

hi all i am new to this site and i am building my first 1986 camaro it has a 400hp 350sbc with a 350 turbo tranny with a 2500 stall and i am just wanting some ideas on how to bolt my rear torque arm so my diff does not come shooting out the back of my car i had to make a tranny cross member as my tranny is shorter then the tranny that comes in the car so now my rear torque arm is to short to reach my new tranny cross member can any one help me out ??

Make your own... tube steel and cut the tabs/brackets off the original torque arm for bolt alignment.

i was just thinking about drilling some hole's in my frame and bolting my old arm to the frame will that work

its unibody.. their might be something to bolt to but defiantly not the chassis.

A direct chassis connection is the last thing youd want. In addition to rotating, the TA has front/rear travel. Youd rip out the bolt in the trans tunnel even under light driving

The simplest solution is to take the old bracket from your 700R4 or T5 and weld an angled piece the the bottom, then bolt the angle onto your TH350 crossmember

there is a bracket that you can purchase I think from edelbrook that bolt to the back of your tranny. I picked one up from craigs list for 50 bucks used in good shape.Can send you pics of it if you want to use that as a basis for your fabrication. I may be parting with it if I decide to a different rear suspension setup.

i got one from B&M i just for got to come on here and let every one know i had figured it out but thanks for the help cheers
