Custom Hatchback

Hi everyone i wanted to ask, would it be possible to take the Hawkthirdgen notchback and turn it into the Ferrari styled notchback with some modifications and fiberglass? I asked a local custom auto body guy and he said he could do it for 1000$. Do you think the fiberglass would crack in time or when going over some bumps?

For $1,000 he better just make one from scratch, and it better be perfect.

Re: Custom Hatchback

Depending on how heavy the fiberglass was it might be okay. Thing to remember is figerglass is really strong on curves but not on flats areas. There really isn't any point to having functional vents back there either. They could be just surface mounted to look like they were functional. In that cause a bump could be raised in the middle using fiberglass and bondo and on the sides of the attached vents to make it appear they are actually recessed.

They don't sell one with vents built in last time I looked, which is what he wanted.
