ttop stubs

Had to replace my doors since they were smashed in but i noticed something. I have a 1989 camaro with ttops and they had this rubber stub on each door that seemed to slide right over the metal tab on the body near the vent. I removed doors from a 87 camaro with ttops if i remember correctly but they didnt have these rubber stubs on them. What are they for? An how do i put them on the new set of doors i got? Where do i buy a new pair of the stubs?

Re: ttop stubs

Are you talking about on the door jamb near the latch on the door & the body, and they are indented?

I have metal things on my doors-- they have plastic spacers under them.
They are about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch long, 1/2 wide.

I can't get pics til Wednesday. I was wondering if they keep the doors from moving too much since there's no solid roof.

( edit )
Ours is t-top
