looks pretty good man, and trust me, i won't knock it at all, but personally, i don't know if i would have cut into the top of the vents because it's difficult to hide imperfections that way...

but.... i also don't know if there was any room on the louvers to cut the backs out instead of the tops - or not... i assume not or you would have done it ?

either way, it looks really cool..

 

You are correct, there are many imperfections...hehe. That's what you get when you are using a hand held cutting tool. Definitely a pain in the butt to cut out each section of the louver. This is actually my second set and they came out better than the first time, but there is still lots of room for improvements.
Best way would be to have a mold or some type of CAD cut out of a pre-fabbed louver.

 

damn dude, too bad my CNC doesn't work at the moment, i'd totally clean them up for you...

if you got a file set, you could clean it up nicely... it would be well worth it...

what you have basically is a supermodel with a zit in the middle of her nose.... who cares how big her t!tts are, all you stare at is the zit.. lol

na, it's not that bad, but i guarantee YOU notice it, and if you're like me, it drives you up the damn wall...

seriously though, a file set, and a little... no... a lot of patience... take a ruler to it and measure each hole and file it precisely... to some extent you almost have to re-measure after every pass of the file.... it's way easy to take too much off... and NOT easy to add more.. u know?

then when you're done with the file, take a lighter and lightly heat the edges of the plastic to de-burr it, and smooth the edges.... doesn't take much heat at all.. too much will warp, discolor, and melt it.... i mean QUICK passes... too quick and you'll know.. not quick enough and you'll know too...

or, if you cant stand it at all, get another set and cut the backs of the louvers out instead of the top... it'll work just as well for cooling, im sure of it..
