Pitot tube (pressure gauge)

im only putting this in the fab section due to the fact the tube has to be fabbed into the ram air box, anyone know of a company that makes this gauge? used to measure air pressure among other things. im interested in installing an extra gauge that measures the ram air pressure inside a custom box to design a box that works over 60-70mph. thanks

Use a standard pressure gauge, lowest range you can find. If you saw 2psi at 150mph with the throttle slammed shut Id be surprised

Something like this

i knew id get something from you jon, i read up a 12 page article on 2 C5's compared side by side, one stock, one with a ram air, the RA'd C5 picked up 26 rwhp over the stocker(supposedly the RA effect begins to take place at 75mph with .09 psi which equates to about 1.7 hp and compunds with increased psi from increased speed). they recommend a guage that reads in .10's of a psi to even gauge the effect, that link you posted looks like it might work but where or what should i use as a sensor? obviously it needs to be tapped into the box, id assume closer to the TB as i can since thats where the effect takes place but im not sure where to start, just something different i wanted to try out.

Re: Pitot tube (pressure gauge)

Port it directly to the box. If the box is seeing pressure, the gauge will read it
