Fiberglass Mold Over Plastic Plug?

I'm looking at duplicating a part from a ABS style interior plastic peace...
I'v read some articles online... but i wanted to see if anyone else on here has done it, the steps, what they used, where they got there products from and the out come of there peaces...

you can use fiberglass I have done this before mix up the fiberglass resin then cover the part with wax paper and pour the resin over the part then when it is dry pop it off sand it with 180 grit sandpaper to fit the old part

Wax paper isn't going to work for what I am doing.

You are right wax paper will not work. you need to use a release agent like maguires wax release for fiberglass molds. You need to use the original piece as a plug to make a mold then use the mold to make the piece. If its an interior piece I would suggest maybe using carbon fiber for a custom look. I haven't done it on an interior peice yet but have made plenty of exterior pieces.
