8.5" rear end swap
Im getting sick of the 7.5" rear end and I did a swap a 8.5 out of impala 95 rear end on my '82 truck and Im loving it and Im thinking of doing the same to my '92 Z28,my z28 has full suspension with aftermarket aluminum driveshaft and Im concerned about the length of the driveshaft after the swap because I dont want to cut/weld it did anyone here did this swap? I searched for topics and didnt find any

Swapping into a truck with leaf springs is easy. Swapping any kind of non third/fourth gen diff into a third gen isn't quite so easy. The torque arm suspension doesn't easily swap over.

I put a zr2 rearaxle in my 83z and had to shorten the drive shaft 1 1/4 inches. I built a custom 3 link so no torq arm issues for me. Check this forum under home brew road racer.
