Vertical Radiator Mod
Just thought I would post some pics of my vertical radiator mod. I wanted more room for the turbo and exhaust and figure this would be a good way to gain some room. I cut the center of the core support out. I then drilled out the lower spot welds. The lower support is built out of 1 1/2 inch square tubing. The upper part is 1 inch square tubing. This will retain the factory hood latch and require no hood pins. Radiator size is 16x31.

Looks good, When I do my turbo setup I intend on just cutting the front section of the car off forward of the strut towers and im going to die the cage into it.

I have seen that done and it works great. Just could not cut up the car like that yet.

Re: Vertical Radiator Mod
when i saw the thread title, i was thinking that someone had adapted an old school downflow radiator into their car for some reason... of course, GM did just that with the new Camaros, so i guess what's old is new, eh?
