Crossmember help
I need a measurement if someone has there car in the air. I am building a cross member for my 4l80. The problem is my cross member is spanning from my subframe connectors not the stock cross member mounting points. I am looking for a measurement from each pinch rail to center of the transmission mount so I can make sure my drive train is in square.

Re: Crossmember help
You should just measure on your car. Nothing about these cars are usually square at this point.

Re: Crossmember help
What I am curious about is if the transmission is centered or offset in these cars.

Re: Crossmember help
If I had to guess I would say slightly offset to the passenger side because that's how the motor is set in there for more steering linkage room.

Re: Crossmember help
I completely forgot you asked for this. I will put a reminder in my phone to do it tonight and I will text you with what I find when I get it done. Sorry about that.

Re: Crossmember help
Bump, I know Evan has allot going on. I tried to test fit my driveshaft and it wont clear my bmr track pak torque arm. I tried prying the transmission over but I am getting minimal movement. My engine is an ls engine with solid motor mounts. This is sitting on a pa racing k member. I know the transmission it to far over to the driver side but unsure on how much it is. I already loosened the engine mount bolts.

Re: Crossmember help
Well after doing allot of measuring I figured out the engine mounts on the k member are on there wrong. PA racing said they would re jig it up at no charge but I pulled the trigger on a motor plate and mid plate from aei. So I will get this figured out when the plates get here.
