ozone supercharger?

I saw some plans on making an ozone generator and it got me thinking what if we could use one to pump o3 into our engines. according to basic shop class theory this would result in huge power.

14:1 air:fuel mix air is something like 20% (I think) o2. so if you pumped o3 into your engine your oxygen content is much higher allowing you to pump more fuel into the cylinder giving more power. the carb/efi would have to be tuned just like with a conventional supercharger, but, in theory at least, it could have the same or better effects.

the problem is this is theory and theory doesn't always prove true in the real world.

I tried to build a ozone generator to experiment with but it didn't produce any ozone. I don't know why it didn't work but it didn't.

I have done some research on the subject and others have contemplated it but I haven't found anyone who has actualy tried it. from my research the only theory I have found saying it wont work is that the extra energy needed to produce the ozone would not make it efficient.
I can disprove this theory. the extra energy needed would not make the alternator any more resistant to the engine turning. to say this is the problem is to say that you would get more power from your engine by turning off all lights, radio, and other accessories.
what I want to know is has anyone tried to do this or make a ozone generator in general that turned out successful. or is there any scientists out there that can explain why/how this would/wouldn't work.
I'm still probably going to try it anyway just to see what actualy happens no mater what the replys are.

ps I also know ozone is poisonous to the body, but so are exaust fumes if breathed in directly.

I don't think you could generate enough of it to make an impact.

02 makes up for almost 21% of the atmosphere, so at 14:1 19.6%

(but you want to be at around 12:1)

ive done this.

took a electric super charger and put a ozone generator on the inlet to it, the problem with doing this is its boost in psi is 33% more effecive so if u ran 10bl of boost the oxygen content is equal to 13bl of boost, keep that in mind, ( i did this on a diesel/hydrogen-steam engine that i made by converting a cummins 12 valve) doing this does burn better, and alot faster and causes detonation in the engine if you dont change your timing set up, i backed off mine 9 degrees, and then blew the heads off, the blast broke all the bolts on that side of the head and then when the other side attempted to fire well everything got wrecked. i dont recommend doing this X.x maybe it culd work on something that doesnt run on hydrogen and what not but for me it wrecked all my work.

Re: ozone supercharger?

also you would need a kickass alternator to power the method you use to do this, i used a voltage box. and a custom made wye/delta combination alternator output was 238 amps @ 2000 rpm, youl kill a alternator if you dont beef it up, and when you make o3 you also make o1, and oxygen is diatomic meaning o1 cant exist for long so it bonds with anything it can, ambient gasses or possibly 3(o2) -> 2(o3) i put a sniffer on my setup before it went boom and it made some NO1 and other unwanted gasses

Re: ozone supercharger?

spray nitro instead.. >.>. carries more O2 by volume than nitrous.. though... there are other things to take into consideration.

Re: ive done this.

so wait you run/ran your third gen on hydrogen. like an hho kit or something else, ive been wanting to convert to hho for some time now but havnt goten around to it. how well does it work?

also i was thinking more of just adding the ozone generator to the regular intake not on top of an existing turbo and was wondeing if it would have any affect
