85 Trans Am
85 trans am for sale. this car has been a project of mine over the last 2 years, but i have lost interest in it.
the motor is the L69 305HO with the dual snorkel air cleaner. when i got the car, the motor was completely disassembled, cleaned up, and reassembled with new rings and gaskets. the motor has a bigger cam, flat top pistons and roller rockers. the motor runs very strong and fast, and it sounds very throaty with the edelbrock headers and flowmaster exhaust.
the transmission shifts fine through all the gears, but i have been told that the synchro for 2nd gear might be going. it does have a new clutch and a hurst billet shifter. the car has a 3.73 disc brake rear and the ws6 suspension package.
the interior was all taken out. the floor, which was almost completely rust free except 1 or 2 little spots, was painted with sound deadener, then covered with new black acc carpet. the interior plastics were painted with black krylon fusion (they were blue). seats and seatsbelts are from a 93 camaro. center console is from a 99 trans am. car has p/w and p/dl, both are slow. 2 new p/w motors go with the car. the car has t-tops. they do leak, which is why the car is missing a headliner.
the body has a couple dents, but nothing major. there is also very little rust. the car does need a paint job though.
a lot of time has been spent on getting this car from the condition i bought it in to how it is today. the car needs some minor details worked on here and there. i just don't have the time or interest to get the car to the way i want it. the car is located in new milford, ct. the price is $2,000 obo.
here's some pics:
