'89, 305 TPI Automatic, Gunmetal Grey
Posted this in the Midwest forum before realizing the classified section existed...Sorry
My loss=your gain. Had so sell my home and now have to part with my T/A
Wanted to offer it here before I put the for sale sign in the window. First to show up with a reasonable offer and a trailer takes it!
Its an '89, TPI 305, Auto, t-tops. This car is unmolested, came fully loaded and is still original. Gunmetal Grey. Original 305 block still in car , original 700R4 still in car. Motor may have been taken out and freshened up...before I bought this car in 2001...not sure.
Things I know about the car (the usual 3rd gen problems):
-Headlight motors work but need gears replaced
-Smokes a little bit at startup (could use valve seals)
-Interior needs TLC but all original parts are there
-Someone tried to unsusccesfully to steal the radio...center pod is a little rough
-Original ignition switch tumblers wore our and I replaced the switch with a non-vats one. The original is still wired in the car with the key so I wouldnt have to re-works anything with the VATS.
-Fuel pump died right at the end of summer last year. Didn't have the time to fix it over the winter. Certianly didnt want to do the quick fix of cutting a hole in the car either...as I said, the car is still intact. If it wasn't for this problem, I'd be driving this car out of here (moving to Alabama...that tells ya how much I trust the car.)
-Original Rear spoiler still on the car
-Car has a LOT of miles. Odometer stopped working a few years ago with 230660 on the ticker.
Other things I've done to the car
-Replaced the A.I.R tubes (both sides) in 2003
-Basic catback exhaust w/flowmaster in 2003 (a mild flowmaster, nothing loud)
-Drivers door sags a little, I will throw in a new set of door pins that I bought and never got around to installing
This car was my summer driver and garaged in the winter.
I hate to let it go but I have to get out of here fairly quick and don't have the time time to arrange fixing the fuel pump.
I am im the south central Illinois area...living on the east side of Belleville.
Reply here or to my rbrackett1@charter.net . I know most everything about this car and can answer and question. I can also provide digital images upon request.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
