1991 Firebird LT1 Swap 4th gen dash etc. 2500 obo

This car originally had a V6 3.1L. I pulled it out and changed the motor mounts and mounted an LT1 engine. I had a 700R4 transmission handy so that went in with it.

Here are the specifics:

* LT1 engine
* 700R4 Transmission
* Paint looks very nice
* Hooker headers
* Custom Stainless Steel Exhaust, 2.5 a side to the cat, 3" from the cat to the muffler
* Brand New Catalytic Converter
* Flowmaster 80 muffler - nice tone but not loud and obnoxious
* All interior seats swapped from a 1996 Camaro
* Dash / cluster Swap from a 1995 Firebird
* Airbox was customized to accomodate the dash swap. AC was not implemented
* Heat works, and comes up the defroster vents. It could be easily modified to blow out the vents as well.
* Rear end swapped from a 1996 Camaro that had an LT1
* The new rear end has disc brakes so this car now has 4 wheel disc brakes
* The car is fitted with a fuel pressure gauge
* The car has a clutch pedal and slave cylinder reservoir (it was originally a manual transmission vehicle), so swapping to a manual would be easy.
* It has a hitch installed
* Center console was swapped in from a 1996 Camaro
* E-brake was not hooked up - you need cables for a 1991-1992 firebird w/ disc brakes to interface to the new rear end
* The car is not inspected, I did not even try because I hadn't hooked up the E-brake yet.
* Rear wheels have an agressive stance (they sit wider than the car). This is because of the offset on the rims. 3rd generation wheels on a 4th generation rear end results in this. If you get a set of fourth gen Firebird
or Camaro wheels they will sit even with the body.

The car drives around well. The transmission kickdown cable is laying in the engine bay unattached. If you get a throttle body bracket from a 1993 LT1 motor then you will be able to connect the kickdown cable. This engine was from a 95 and in 1995 used a 4L60E transmission which is electronically controlled, so there is no provision to connect it. 1993 used a kickdown cable so a bracket from this year would have the hookup for the cable.

Price is $2500 obo, The car is also for sale locally so whoever gets it first gets it. The car is near Somerville NJ so if you would like to see it, send me an email and I'll give you my phone number and we can set something up. Any questions, send them up.

I don't have time for this car anymore, I was working on this swap for the past few years. I'm moving in a year so I am trying to be preemptive about it and selling this will be one less thing I'll have to move when that time comes. The VIN is 1G2FS23T6ML249272
