rock-solid '89 Formula 350 project for sale

here's what i have: NOT RUNNING, black 1989 Formula 350; rust-free, West Texas car. the motor and trans are included, but not in the car. i pulled the motor and trans for a paint job that fell through. there are no serious body issues with the car - no rust, no bondo, just one minor ding in the DS front panel. it is a REAL Formula 350 with a 5.7 TPI, T-Tops, WS6, ect... all wheels have original center caps. original color is black. car includes several hundred dollars in brand new restoration parts still in boxes (to include front bumper, complete weather stripping including T-tops, flawless dash pad, new window motors, and more...)

clean title; no salvage

i'm letting it go for $1,500.00. it would have to be shipped from Washington State.

i'm also selling a 1968 Mustang Coupe 289 for $2,500.00.

$3,500.00 will get you both cars.

Re: rock-solid '89 Formula 350 project for sale

okay, sorry it took so long for me to post up these pics, but these were taken today.

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...lbumId=1237977

the only way i know how to post pics is to upload them to my MySpace page (all i use it for) and then copy the properties to the insert image function on a post. yeah, im pretty computer illiterate. so i figured instead of me having to post all 26 pics one by one, i would just post a link to the MySpace page.

this is the background story on the Formula.

in 1995 i bought my first car -an '87 Firebird 305 TBI. i built the **** out of it and ended up with a nice enough, but fairly unreliable, carburated umm jalopy. lesson learned: for a third gen, a 5.7 liter IROC, TA, or Formula was the way to go - my favorite: the Formula 350 having the sleekest, sexiest body of the three. back in Feb '99 i bought the '96 Z28 seen in the pics and traded in the 87 (which had at least 10K into it) for 2500.00 towards a chevy cavalier for my wife. in the summer '99 i bought the 67 Firebird seen in the pics. all the while, owning a black 89-ish Formula 350 had become a bit of an obsession. around 2002 i rescued the black Formula 350 from a paint shop on Dyer street in El Paso (i was in the Army for 10 years, stationed primarily at Fort Bliss, TX). they did mechanical work there and the owner could not pay his bill and gave the car to the owner of the shop. so, anyway i rescued it for an undisclosed amount. drove it home (limped home) where it sat for a couple years until i quit the Army, joined the Border Patrol and towed it to Presidio, TX (total shithole, btw). in Presidio, there was a paint and body shop called Sam's. i pulled the engine and trans and brought him the car for a complete paint job. hence, all the restoration parts. so about two months go by and he still hasnt touched my car. meanwhile all the new parts i bought are just laying around getting buried by his other junk, so i repoed it and took the '67 firebird seen in the pics to a shade tree paint and body guy and had a paint job done on that car. hence the motor and trans being out of that car. in 2008 i transferred to Port Angeles, WA where i had the car shipped along with my 72 nova rolling chasis and the 96 Z28. and it has sat in storage here for ever since.

i sold the nova so i could get the 68 Mustang. i put up the Formula for sale at the same time, and when a guy came to look at it, when i pulled the car cover off of it, i changed my mind about selling it right there on the spot. the only reason i am willing to part with it now is because i just bought a running 89 Formula 350 hardtop off of eBay. unfortunately, it isnt black.

so anyway, all i'm getting out of these cars is a $50 per month storage fee. as i took those pics today, i realized that these are both nice cars, and for the amount of money i'm asking, you can hardly go wrong even when you figure the cost of shipping. so if you have the space, time (money), and skill to do something with one or both of these vehicles this is a really good deal.

PM me if you want my phone number.

David

oh yeah, the VIN is 1G2FS2188KL229259.

this is a real Formula 350, not a clone or a 5.0 liter car. original color is black. mileage is 105,000 mi.
