[NY] 1984 Firebird Trans Am $1500
1984 Firebird Trans Am $1500
Hey guys, need to get rid of her before winter hits....
I'll try to be as thorough as possible so i'm not wasting anybody's time.
Was my daily driver since last May. I drove it for about 2.5k miles in total... The majority of those miles were highway miles and according the PO the majority of the miles he put on it were highway miles also.
101k miles
Car is located in the Bronx 10468 area on mosholu parkway.
Automatic Tranny.
No T-tops.
Never had the time or money to fix her up like she deserves but I hope to pass it on to a good set of hands
Everything is stock as far I know.
The Good
- No Check Engine Light.
- Engine starts right up all the time, even in the cold - Runs great.
- Nothing gutted out or torn apart - Car is complete with no missing parts.
- Headlights still pop up with no problems (Gotta hit the switch a bit hard to put em back down though)
- Exhaust still sounds awesome (not sure what kind of exhaust it has on it, if it's a replacement or not but it's pretty new either way)
- Tires have a good amount of life left on them
- Not too bad on gas considering the age.
- Interior isn't all roughed up, dash isn't cracked. Has original Firebird mats. Overall not bad at all considering the age. The only rip is on the driver's seat but even that isn't all that bad.
- Never beat on or raced
- She's just been really reliable since i've had her. Drove it to queens and back on a regular basis for about 2k miles with not 1 problem.
The Bad
- Needs a paintjob.
- Needs front end suspension work - clunk on passenger side spring.
- Driver's side door dent (should pop right out since it's not creased but I haven't had the time for it )
- Seatbelts need repair (They still work but it's a little tricky to get it on)
- Sound system kind of sucks. It only reads CDs. I believe the front speakers are stock but I recently changed the back ones
- Hood doesn't stay up (but I can supply you with the broom stick I use lol)
- Rear brakes sometimes act up while the car is cold ... After driving for about 2 minutes it goes away though. Front brakes have alot of meat left on the pads. Front disk rear drum btw.
- Idle likes to adjust itself for some reason no matter how many times I fix it - leads to engine run on at times.
- Needs new windshield wipers (don't pick a rainy day to come pick it up if you buy it. The wipers are really bad right now.)
I really can't drive this car in the winter so I hope to get rid of it before then.

More pics.
Btw not willing to part out since I don't have anywhere to store the car.
Let me know if any of you need specific info or other pics.

I believe the engine is the stock LG4. No accidents as far as I know, according the PO it was the same on his end too.
I'm not sure how long the bumper's been like that since it was there when I got the car in May however, the bumper itself is not damaged, it just needs to be repainted.

Hey sorry for the long wait to respond, been kinda busy but yeah the car always sat unusually low since I got it, My father took a look at it and said the spring is out of place a bit and it's better to just get a whole new set of springs since the ones in there are pretty old, haven't had the money to buy them though
. Rear seats are a little bit dirty but absolutely no rips.

Realized I didn't post any pics of the rear so here's one.
It's got the GTA rear lights.
+ More interior. I dare say the dash is pretty much mint, not one crack at all. I believe none of the POs ever smoked in the car neither so no funny smells.
