I was collecting parts to do an LSx swap into my 89 Formula, but ended up buying a killer, 500 horse CTS-V. So I guess I don't need the bird anymore.

89 Formula, T-top, 5 speed. Was a TPI 305, but harness and TPI stuff was gone when I got it. Aussie rear. Hooker exhaust. Interior is out of it. Most got thrown away, but have most of the plastics. T-top seals were new by the last owner, but then it sat a few years. I want to say the car has like 95K miles on it. Pretty clean for an old new england car. Very little rust. No rot. Needs a driver's front fender and turbo hood has a light dent at beginning of scoop. Body is pretty straight and clean overall. Will need paint. I was going to use it as a "weekend warrior" track car, so it was good enough for me.

Will include parts gathered:
swap harness for use with 98 F-body pcm
spare f-body pcm
4th gen charcoal bird cloth seats
4th gen gas tank and sender
GTA door panels
91 Formula nose and honeycomb
99 f-body clutch and flywheel
LS1 f-body intake
LS1 fuel rails
LS1 f-body manifolds

Can also include rebuilt T56 will bell and t/o for an additional $1200. It's at the tranny shop now being redone.

I saw this on craigslist. You should really consider splitting it up. People that want to restore the formula might not care about the LS1 stuff.

Nope, not yet. But I'm not really pushing it. I'm still not sure if I want to sell it. But my wife wanted me to try.

 

I hear ya. How bad is the dash/wiring ? Does it just need that left fender or a bumper cover too?

I was lookin to see what prices this goes for and was surprised to see it so high for this. Maybe this could work better as parting it. But, would you offer help to how you list pictures here? I need to show pictures and dont know how to do so.

Hey Joe. The dash/wiring is all there. Looks to be in pretty good shape. I can take a pic if you want. And it comes with a 91 bumper/honeycomb.

Why would you need to post pics in my fs thread? Just curious... But host them online, I use www.photobucket.com and copy the links and paste them in your reply. Simple. :-)

 

I don't think you can put a '91 bumper on an '89 without changing the headlights. It's been a number of years since I did it, but I thought that was part of the change. I could be wrong!

I'm slightly confused at what you have, so bare with me. Do you have black or charcoal seats with tracks that fit the car?

Do you have thirdgen door panels that fit the car?

If so, what would you be willing to sell the car for with the above mentioned items, but none of the other swap stuff. LSx won't be in my future

The seats are charcoal 4th gen with tracks and will bolt right in. I'd like to get a grand without the swap stuff. But if you're serious, shoot me an email or pm. We can work something out. ;-)

 

I've been looking at Corvettes (again) for ultra big money, but part of me just wants to buy a cheap car and drop it off at Macco and beat the snot out of it at the track. I'll PM you.

I bought this car. It's sitting at my farm, on my trailer as we speak.

In a few weeks it will find it's way into the garage, on the lift, and get overhauled.
