1989 Firebird Formula
1989 Firebird Formula - $3,500
This car has been stored for the last 12 years - no particular reason, life got busy and I just never quite got around to doing anything with it.
I had plans of keeping it around and possibly building an engine for it someday, but by now I'd rather have the garage space for other projects.
It's in very good condition for it's age - there are some stone chips in the paint, and a small door ding on the drivers door, but overall the body is clean and solid.
The rear spoiler is missing, it was originally the wrap around version which seems to always split and rust, so when it started falling apart I took it off and never got it replaced.
Tires are very good, they were new the last year I drove it, so they are still in good shape.
Interior is nice, never smoked in, no pets, etc so it's clean.
Dash is NOT cracked! That's a big deal for these cars, most of them are cracked in the middle by now.
I've put a few parts on it over the years, new master cylinder, new brake lines, new front calipers, fuel pump, injector, and starter motor.
The weatherstripping is generally a little old and is getting hard around the windows. The t-tops don't leak, though I'd probably just replace it all in one shot if I were keeping it.
Needs a muffler (or not, sounds pretty good really) - at least it needs a bit of exhaust pipe to get to the back of the car, it's currently exhausting right behind the rear axle.
It's still got a very nice pair of Ground Zero subs in a custom box along with a 1000 watt Clarion amp - not sure I want to part with those as they are pretty rare by now, so they're not included at this price - possibly negotiable though.
Blaupunkt head unit currently installed, it'll go with the car as well as the original am/fm/tape deck that I removed.
Low miles - only 96,964!
