I have a 1981 Trans Am I am looking to trade for a 91-92 Firebird.

First, a little bit about the car. It's a 1981 Pontiac Trans Am, it was originally a 301 non-turbo car. I bought it from a gentleman who had swapped a 73 Mark IV 454 into the car a few months back. Over the last few months I have replaced a lot of parts and reran a lot of rushed wiring by the previous owner. I had the top end of the engine rebuilt. Also I had the short ratio power steering box put on, the pump for said box has not been set up though.

New parts:
Water pump
alternator & Bracket
fuel pump & fan relays
front brakes, rotors, wheel stems
BFG Radial T/A's
Fuel tank and lines
head lights, front signals, side markers
purple hornies exhaust.
Edelbrock 800 cfm carb
High torq mini starter
Flexplate
B&M Torque converter

There car is mechanically sound for the most part. The real area that needs to be focused on is paint and body. I don't know who did the last paint job on the car but it was god aweful. Within a month of the car sitting at my house most of the paint on the roof, hood, and trunk had cracked. Also, not sure who had the bright idea of spray painting cloth seats, but they will have to be either replaced or redone. I do have the door panels, plus some extras for the car. It will need the rear inside paneling. I have brand new locks for the doors that match the current trunk lock in the car.

various gauge clusters
various interior pieces
extra set of fender flairs















As far as what I am looking to trade for,

I would like a 91-92 Pontiac Firebird with a V8 in good shape and not a ridiculous amount of miles. This car would more than likely be my daily driver.


The reason I am wanting to sell/trade the 81 is because I am moving into an apartment and I do not have the time/space/money to spend on it.


**EDIT** - I forgot to mention that the car has all around 4-wheel disc brakes. The only rust on the car is some minimal surface rust on the roof where the paint cracked, other than that it has a solid body!

Also, I am open to negotiations, I am needing to sell this car quickly and find a new DD!
