rear disc passenger side

Replacing rear Brakes on my 87 GTA. Ran into a problem with the Caliper bolts on the passenger side. Do I really need to lower the Control arm to get that top bolt back in? So close! Nibble a bit of the tip of the bolt off? I did get the Nut off the Control arm,on the rear end. I am in the Hammer process, with no progress.

No. Believe it or not, you can use a jack to perfectly line up the bolt so you can get an 3/8 allen wrench socket on it. I have done this at least 3 times. It takes a bit of patience and practice.

Re: rear disc passenger side

Thanks for that. Slept on it, and started all over in the morning with success. Just enough room from a different angle..
