what kind of rear came in a 1989 firebird formula??? was it a posi?

 

Seeing how the Formulas have the WS6 package, I would say they all have Posi!

I think WS6 was like FE2, which was only suspension. You have to have the G92 package (which you could only get with TPI btw) or the posi RPO code (not sure offhand what it is)

 

All Formula's have WS6, but WS6 didn't always include posi.

Check your RPO's and look for G80.

 

Feel like getting dirty? Crawl under your car and look for a stamp on the pass. side axle tube. These are all the axles that where available for 89, ratios are followed by the codes. This list is for reference only and absolute accuracy is not guaranteed;
