I checked my history at carfax.com, and realized that i had an EML title.. EML= Exceeds Mechanical Limit.. meaning that once the odometer goes past 99,999 its SUPPOSED to be registered by the owner as EML.. i think.. but i have a 6 digit odometer, it should go up to 999,999 miles.. So why would it be registered as EML? i did a search and came up with NOTHING.. Is the something required with all vehicals whether or not they have 6 digit odometers? Also, is it because the odometer reading changed.. maybe it was supposed to be 150,000?? sorry for posting this here, but i think you people (drew, willie) are experts here. as long with the experience of many other of you guys.. Is there anyway to get rid of the EML on my title?? thanks..

It can also happen if the speedometer head is broken and replaced. Therefore the milage that is reported is not the same as the car has actually seen because the speedometer head has been replaced, and odds are the milage was not kept the same.
