Does anyone know why the Cross-Fire Injection only came out with Automatic Transmissions and not Manual Transmissions?

I heard that the Torque would be too powerful, that you would be pealing out at dead stops.

Can anyone set the story straight?

 

I can tell you that in 82, it did receive a 4 speed manual and it had special gear ratios. However I am not certain whether the 83 got the 5 speed. I think it did.....

 

The 83 Pace Car was a 4BBL with a 4 speed, the CFI got a 4 Speed Auto.

 

Sorry, the 4BBL Carb had a 4 speed Manual, the CFI was a 4 speed Auto.

 

.......and the pace car was in 82...........

 

.....and had a 3 speed auto.....

 

For Camaros you are correct. But for Firebirds:
The '83 pace car was white over charcoal metallic. Approx 1980 replicas were sold.
