Is this a deal?

Ok in two days I am planning on buying this car....it is slightly wrecked, but it has a recently rebuilt transmission. My tranny just went out and I am going to do the swap. The car costs $1500 and it will cost me $300 to get it, plus like 450 for the tranny install.

So heres the question....is it worth it to get the car, take the trans, and part it out.

It is a 1989 black GTA with a cloth interior and gold gta rims.

Heres a pic.

Heres what I figure for prices of stuff and what i can get (pls tell me if I am way off on anything) or if you know anythign elce i could sell on it

rims $300
TPI stuff $275
engine $200
Cloth interior $200
Rear end $100
Tail lights $50
Dash pad $50
Radio pod $30
console $30
spolier,g/fx $75
Speedo $20
mirrors $20

What you guys think, what elc could I sell on it. Im starting to think this a bad deal as I write this out.

Unless you were gonna fix the wreck damage, don't buy it. Based on that pic, it looks fixable to me, not worth parting out.

strictly my .02

I agree - if you buy it, fix and keep it. It doesn't look bad. How many miles are on it, and what are the options?

It looks like a Trans Am to me--see the vent on the fender? Doesn't matter tho-I also think it's very fixable--fix it and drive it-my .02 too.
