Need help; I'm making a repro window sticker
Hey all; I recently got a template of a window sticker from a 1988 Buick Grand National that I'm editing so it is an exact reproduction of a 1988 Camaro window sticker. By using the template and some info found on a couple other sites, I have been able to compile a very accurate window sticker.
Then I hit the long option section.
As I went through my car's RPO codes, I found options that were standard and no cost. I found options that weren't standard but I don't know what they cost back in 1988. By usin the RPO decoder on this site, I came across options that just make no sense to me.
Here's what I'm getting from this site's RPO decoder as my RPO code meanings.

K60 : GENERATOR, 100 AMP
L03 : ENGINE, GAS, 8 CYL 5.OL TBI

199 : SEAT BELT COLOR, BLACK (91)
41U : PRIMARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, BLACK

Unable to locate code 92F in our database!
What I need to know is how much these options cost back in 1988, and which ones came standard at no extra cost. Also, if anyone has any info regarding the "unknown" RPOs, please throw that in too!!
Thanks a lot for everyone's time!

Get yourself a copy of the Camaro White Book, it has the pricing information you're looking for.
Here's an even easier solution;
www.window-sticker.com
They do good work, and I'm guessing for less money than you could do it yourself.

window-sticker.com does excellent work. They will reproduce the window sticker the way it would have come from the factory on the original GM paper. The last time I used them, they were $30 I think. You won't be able to duplicate it as perfectly as they can. Give 'em a try.

No RPO's - Can I simulate or can you?
I am thinking of getting a window sticker from windowsticker.com. My problem is my RPO sheet is long gone. If I listed my options could someone help me come up with the codes or is there a site that list all possible codes for 1986?:hail:
The window sticker did not list every RPO number that is on the SPID label, so you only need to be concerned with the major options and packages. The information you 're seeking can be found in the Camaro White Book.
Boy, if I recommend the White Book one more time, you guys are gonna think I'm Mike Antonick himself!
BTW, window-sticker.com has a database for RPO codes for most years, so all you need to do is tell them what options you'd like to have listed on your window sticker. If you cared to, you could have them list options that were never on your car in the first place. These stickers are more of a novelty item than they are a legitimate historical document for your car. They look great, but due to the paper and the printing process, they would never pass for the original window sticker. I'm speaking from my own experience with the stickers I ordered for an '85 IROC. Perhaps in later years the reproductions would match the original sticker's printing and paper better.

They don't create a window sticker of options you have on the car. They try to reproduce the option list that "came" on the car. If you put in a 350 that should have been a 305, they will build the windowsticker with the 305 option. Added options are not put on the sticker if it wasn't there originally. They require some information from you before they build the sticker, like a build sheet, original window sticker or RPO codes from the car. The paper is the original paper used by GM for that year.
Scott, if you follow their link for how to order a sticker when you don't have any original documentation, you will see that they ask you to list your options, so I assume they take your word. They seem to prefer that you provide some type of original paperwork, but to me it looks like they will create a sticker with just the information you provide them. I agree on the engine issue, as that can be verified by the VIN, but for options such as interiors, convenience items, and paint color, the VIN does not reflect such information. Now I'm just assuming they'll do a sticker from what the customer states is on his car, but perhaps they have a database that can take a VIN and spit out a list of codes. I don't know.
PS I provided them a copy of the original "dealer copy" of my window sticker. The customer copy looked like it had been through a paper shredder.
PPS The paper I received for my '85 was not the original material used by GM. The original was a multi-page form-fed document. The reproduction was a single sheet of paper. The printing was also different. The original used a ribbon printer, and the reproduction looked like it was done on a laser printer.
