part # for gold sail panel bird ??
I want to put the gold sail panel firebird (screaming chicken) decals on my 4th gen as part of a retro look. I remember someone on this board has a black/gold 85 or 86 T/A that has the ones I think I want. Anyone have any pics and a part # for these style decals?

Hi Bandit400!
The color of the gold has changed throughtout the years. So, just get the decals in a pair for whatever year you like. I believe the early years were a darker gold than the later years. The bird itself pretty much stayed the same for the whole generation. depending on the size, the nose bird could have been just alittle bit larger than the sail panel birds. But only if they were on the nose. Around 1984 or 1985, you could have gotten a bird that was about 12 inches high, but this fit on the lower part of the hood.
I hope this helps you,
George

Thank you.
I suppose I need to get the later year sail panel birds since the other decals on the car will be a relatively light colored gold. I've even seen gold panel birds on dark green '92s before and I believe they were the same style bird as the 80's models so I guess they were available for the whole production run (82-92).
Anyway, I just thought it would be neat to have an '02 T/A that had some cues from earlier years, too -kind of a 'last of the breed' mix sort of thing.
you guys take care
