Can someone supply me with the vin number that the design change from the first design (metal frame) to the 2nd design (plastic frame) occurred for the hatch pull-down units for 1991 model year F-Bodies? Also, please cite the source of your information. My intention is to revise the instruction sheet I include with my hatch repair kit to reflect this information.

The November 1992 GM parts catalog lists the 1st design before VIN# 173202. Hope this helps.
