Jackpot!!!

I bought a 89 IROC 'vert last month, found the original owner's name in the paperwork I got with the car, looked him up and called him. He was suprised and happy to hear the car was still alive and well, and I asked him to send any original paparwork he had.

Today I get a package from him, with the original window sticker, the brochure the salesman wrote the prices on, the original order form, original invoice when he picked it up, the first pics of the car, and a buncha other stuff!!! All in great shape.

Man am I STOKED!!!!

I originally got hold of the owner's father first, he told me his son pampered that car, washed it every weekend, etc.
It was a gift to his wife, and the father went on to tell me she was driving it home from work one day, some guy stopped her and made an offer, and she sold it on the spot.
That was July 93, She'd had the car since Jan 89. (ordered Nov88)

The second owner kept it till early this year, sold it to the people I got it from, in May i think.

I bought it in August.

Thats freakin awesome. I wish I could get in touch with the original owner of my car. I wanna know why the heck it had 15 TA wheels on it when I bought it.

I want to go back to the previous owner of mine and ask him why he:

Put purple velvet as a headliner
Red velvet on the right side of the dash
Had a steering wheel with a deployed air bag
Left a good majority of the screws and bolts from pieces of the interior in the glove box or loose.
Put sillicone sealant on perfectly good, stock carpet.
Removed the rear wing and then broke it.
Took a big chunk out of one of the rims.
Sold me a car with a bad heater core that left coolant in my passenger side footwell, and the power brake booster went out, and the injectors went out, and...............................................................................

Cool.

I'd like to talk to the previous owner to find out where my huge dent came from. Just something I wonder about at times.

Aren't vehicle registrations PUBLIC information??

Use carfax to find when and where the car was regestered and contact that county's courthouse and ask them.......IF you are really interested in finding out....

I'd like to know how he managed to break the transmission mounts on the car??????????
