Yes I do. The owner is Robert Ploszaj. This car is the "other" with the 305 TPI / 5-speed (other than mine). I have spoken with Bob on several occasions. He's a very nice guy and the last time I talked to him (about one month ago), he was considering selling his car. (I hope he doesn't.)

Bob's ragtop is rarely driven. His brother was the original owner, but sold it to Bob when he lost his leg in an accident -- kind of hard to drive a stick with only one leg... It has only 34,000 original miles. It is worth ~$20,000, more than mine because of the low mileage.
Bob was considering selling it because he has another project -- a street rod of some sort. Because he knows the value of his Camaro and that it should not be modified, he's kind of bored with it. I can relate. That's why I mod the heck out of my coupe.
How did you come across Bob's car?

I've never tried. The closest I got was to have my pic (not my car) in Super Chevy for winning my class (1982 - 1992 Camaro) at the Super Chevy Show in Tucson, Arizona on March 20-22, 1998.
On my way up to accept my plaque, you're required to stop at a desk to double-check the spelling of your name, so it appears correctly in their magazine. I did this and it was correct. Still, my last name was misspelled in the magazine!!

Hey Willie I sent you a picture of a maroon 87 convert from the Super Chevy Show in Norwalk Ohio. Did you ever figure out who's it was. I never gave you much info on i and it was my fault for not getting it but the guy didn't seem interested in talking. Well in the picture you can see the plate # but I don't think that would help much!! Heres a few shots!!

Also Willie would you mind posting or e-mailing your list of 87 Camaro converts. belyk85@hotmail.com
how rare is the 87 with 305/5speed? A good friend of mine has an 87 Iroc 305/5speed convertible and is in the same boat. We know the car is too rare to modify, so he would like to sell it. I posted it in the classifieds at $7000, but he may take less. The car has new paint (that great GM paint!), leather, power seats, windows, etc. It is super nice, but I am making him jealous modifying my 87 350 coupe.

Big Jon,
Did your friend sell the 87 vert? Just wondering. I just recently bought another 87 vert; am picking it up today. It's an 87 Z-28 auto. This one is not as nice as my 87 IROC-Z vert; but it can and will be after I get to work on it. Mostly interior work; left door panel, carpet and such.

No, he still has the car. There is a swap meet here in two weeks, we will probably take it out there. He said if it doesn't sell, he will just keep it, make a few tweaks (nothing major, mostly cosmetic) and drive it.
