Mystery Engine ID

hey all; I had the chance this week to gain access to the engine ID code stamped on a bracket or a plate on the passenger side of my car, where the passenger side head and alternator is. This is what it says:

VO122CFA
IFN/34/30

I think I got that right off the engine, but I can't seem to find any information about it anywhere.

Can someone please help me?

try and find the block number on the driver's side of the block, right behind the heads near where the tranny hooks up.

This decodes as one of two engines:

1982 305 LG4 carb motor B, F and G Body cars
1985 305 LB9 TPI motor F cars
