question 4 u Willie

I saw in camaroz28.com you wrote that a yellow z28 convertible wasn't made. Does that mean there were no yellow IROC convertibles either? If so my heart is broken because I planning on finding one, and no I won't paint another conv. I like to own the real thing.
Thanks Dan

Dan,

I made two mistakes:

1)
I was referring only to the 1987 model year Camaro in that post. I should have been clearer on this.

2)
I just examined the 1987 dealer order guide. It states that the 1987 Z28 convertible was available in the following colors:

Black w/silver or gold
Bright Blue Metallic w/silver
Medium Gray Metallic w/silver (never seen one)
Bright Red w/silver or gold
Dark Red Metallic w/silver or gold
White w/silver or gold

and the 1987 Z28/IROC-Z convertible:

Black w/silver or gold
Bright Blue Metallic w/silver or gold
Bright Red w/silver or gold
Dark Red Metallic w/silver or gold
White w/silver or gold

The only other year that yellow and a convertible were produced was 1988. According to the Camaro White Book, only 922 Camaros were painted yellow that year and yellow was not an option on IROC-Z coupes OR IROC-Z convertibles.

So it appears that there are ZERO factory Z28 / IROC-Z convertibles.
