quest for info

ok, ive been told that there is a "Camaro White book" that breaks down the paint/interior production numbers...

I have a light metallic brown paint with the tan/black cloth interior on an 84 SC... any idea how many of these there are before i restore it? if its slightly rare ill restore it to factory, but if theres tons of em, midnight blue metallic paint with black stripes & 4th gen seats

so, can someone get the numbers for my car for me? Please?

Thanx.

I voted for paint it and move on. Here's the reasoning...

The engine has already been changed to a 350 and other modifications to the driveline have been made. A true restoration would be back to the factory motor with stock specs -- no matter how poor the performance.

Also because its a Sport Coupe, I doubt it would really see the $$ potential that a Z28 or IROC would command when (and if) the market for third gens matures. Don't get me wrong, I have three sport coupes myself so I do like them -- they just won't command as much as other models.

what he said, don't worry about the car being worth something. it already has a different engine in it, so the car will not ever be original (unless you swap the old one back in)
do what you want to that car, hate to burst your bubble that car will never be a "rare" car
and color combos don't mean anything, there is no market for a base line car in a weird color combo.
there is about half a dozen types of 3rd gen cars that would be considered "rare" and that is because of "performance" mods or being a Pace car.
