to replace you need puller tool and bolts for pulling wheel off and thne you need U shaped compressor tool to compress the steering wheel lock plate down- thats directly under the wheel- and is retained to the column shaft by a round hog ring type of snap ring that you have to remove when you have the plate compressed down towarsthe switch assembly, then remove the turn signal cruise stalk, threelarger phillips screwsthat hold assembly to column housing, unplug connector wiring at base of column at under dash where mounts to bottom of dahs with the two bolts and the clamp, have to carefully feed wire harness up the column to get the turn sig switch assembly outof the column, the wires are usually tight so cant move switch hardly any at all really.

thats pretty much it, if you have the tools and have done this before then you can have it all out in 15 minutes or less, steering wheel is hardest part for me usually, everything else is pretty easy, if i had a digicam then id show you details on the 88 out here, ive had it apaprt a couple times already to replace ignition switch, and you can do that when you have the turn signal switch assembly out of the way, not much left after that cept the tilting assembly mechanism

good luck

Autozone.com list the turn signal cam and the switch as being available. (Both online and in the store). You can also rent/buy the tools Fast68 mentioned. The steering wheel lock plate compressor makes the job much easier.

Hope this helps,
Jeff

there's up to 4 different kinds too.. depending on how your car is optioned:

1 - no cruise control, no variable wipers
1 - cruise control, no variable wipers
1 - no cruise control, variable wipers
1 - cruise control, variable wipers

I have seen some but not all of these in Classic Industries's catalogs.
