went to the junkyard and ....

I happened upon aan 88GTA.I used to go to this junkyard all the time and am kicking myself for not getting to this car sooner.Anyway it was originally an L98 car without t-tops.The only really good thing left is the digital dash. Its all there and seems to be perfect. They said i could have it for $75.Does this sound reasonable.I collect things like this that are different and came on Fbodies. Also has a perfeect dash pad for $45.Another question;this car doesnt have the steering wheel with the radio controls on it.I thought the digital dash cars all came with them??

The digital dash cars have quite a bit of wiring that non-digital dash cars don't have. If you got all the sending units, wiring harnesses and the dash, it'd be something to hold onto. If you're just getting the dash, its only going to be usefull as a replacement for a car that had a digital dash originally.

The dashpad is worth it.

All 88-89 GTA's got the steering wheel radio controls. 87 got the 3 spoke leather wheel with a GTA horn button. 90-92 have leather airbag steering wheels.
