How Rare is this combo?

I have an 84 Z28 originally equipped with the L69 HO
motor, 5 speed transmission, T-tops, all blue interior,
tilt wheel, 5 way adjustable power drivers seat, enamel
white paint, and 3.73 rear gears. Was this a top of line model?
Does abyone have an idea of how many were made? This will greatly influence my restoration decisions. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a neat car, but I think it is pretty common. 84 marked the high mark for H.O production with 52,457 produced. Not sure how many had the 5 speed, but there were 47,441 5-speed car produced in 84.

It is a nice car, as I just sold one about 7 months ago. The H.O engine is a nice performer, I just wish the would have had them in 82 when the Pace Car was around....

The H.O was the top of the line engine in 84. Sounds like you have a keeper there...

84 was the only year when L69 was widespread in F-bodys. It was used 83 84 and 85, but 84 is the vast majority of the "bell curve", if you will. White/blue sounds reasonably rare and desirable, in my opinion. 3.73 axle was mandatory with the 5-speed L69 in 84.

Technically, yes, it is a top of the line model for that year. Z28 is the top Camaro model, and L69 is the top engine, only available with the Z28 and not with any lower model like Berlinetta or Sport Coupe. T-tops were optional, which is a major option you have.

Depending what other options or deletes you have, it might be even more rare, but even as it stands, I would definitely keep it original and take care of it, but that's just my opinion.

P.S.: Not sure how many 84 L69 Camaros got the 5-speed, but only 28% of 84 L69 Trans Am's got it, so assuming it was the same percentage in Z28's, less than 15,000 got a L69 with 5-speed.

This car needs alot of work, the exterior body panels are
mint but the floor pans are gone. Mechanically I am not concerned
( I am a mechanic at a local Chevrolet dealership). The only problem I have is paying a couple thousand dollars to have the floor pans redone. I would like to bring it back to top form. I haven't seen another one like it on the road yet, but then again
you don't see many thirdgen Camaros in the Ft. Lauderdale area
period. My buddy in our parts department restored an 87 IROC
to orginal condition and thats the only one I see on a regular basis.

That is not among the most common color combos, but not particularly rare either. In fact I got a few little items from a car exactly like yours, with the "Conteur" seat option, at the junkyard.... the motor was still in it, must have been toast.

Nice car. Definitely worth keeping. I have a 83 L69 5-speed car, T-tops, velour, power everything, etc.... those tended to be the most optioned-up cars, being the top of the line.

Easiest thing to do about the floor pan is just go to the junkyard and get them out of another car. No-brainer. Take you interior out, then your body shop guys should be able to slap them in for you in a matter of minutes.

I too have the same color combo as you. Only mine's an 83 Z28 with the base model interior. Mine was a former crossfire car. The doors are history as well as the, you guessed!, floor pans. I'm debating the justification on restoring this as well. Good luck with yours!
