1992 Yellow Trans Am conv info

Does anyone know where any of these cars are and if any of them are for sale? I am looking for one that dosent need much. If I dont find one then Ill build my own. I know they are really hard to find but I figure I would ask if anyone knew of any information on them. I was thinking of doing this to my 89 Formula 350 ASC conv but I since scrapped the idea since the From conv is really rare and I dont want to alter its rarity. Any info on any cheap verts out there as well? Thanks in advance, STEVE Z

2. that's the number of yellow TA conv's. so if you're looking for one, don't be picky.

good luck though. i considered a similar project, but basically gave it up once i found a '92 red/tan/tan conv. without redoing everything in the interior, i'm not going yellow/tan/tan. and if you're building your own custom version, my suggestion is yellow/medium gray/black top.

if anyone has pics of a yellow car with a tan interior or top though, please post them, i'd be interested to see what they look like.

2 eh. I guess Im going to have to make one then. I do like the yellow ext, grey int, blk roof idea. If I was going to create a convertible to my liking it would probably have to start out as a black exterior being that this color would be a good base to start with.

Rumors that I have heard are that 1 of the 2 got destroyed and the other was sold to a guy who is beating it into the ground. I can't confirm any of this though. Good luck!

BTW, if anyone knows of a Yellow 92 GTA for sale w/T-Tops and brown cloth interior, LET ME KNOW! Also it does not have that gawdaweful dealer installed pinstriping along the side...

Yep, good luck on that.
I had the chance to buy one several years ago (about '94). Yellow with black interior and black top. But I didn't want a 'vert or a 305. Had NO idea then that only 2 were made.

Since then the car has been completely abused. Last time I saw it it was in very poor shape. May be scrapped by now. Haven't seen it in a long time. I hope the other one still exists

I hate to waste thirdgen.org's hard drive space by posting the vert 92 TA pic again, so I'll just link to an earlier occurrence of it:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/att...postid=1078505

To the best of my knowledge there are only TWO authentic 92 TA verts in Jamaica Yellow. 23 total Jamaica Yellow firebirds made in 92.

This old thread talks a bit more about this. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...light=Mattison

That pic you have posted is the one I know well. That's the car w/ 13K on it (back in 00) and the guy who bought it is beating it into the ground. I CAN confirm this 92GTA.

I never knew this car was so damn rare, or I would have bought it when it was at Grossinger. I actually looked at it a few times, and have seen it numerous times since it was sold.

And yes this really has been discussed a few times hasn't it.
