Car: 1989 Iroc-Z

Engine: 350, ZZ4 equivalent

Transmission: Pro-Built Road Race 700R4

Axle/Gears: 3.23 Dana 44

Camaro dash badge on a IROC

My car is a 5.7L 1989 IROC-Z. Everything checks out with the RPO codes but it has a Camaro badge on the dash instead of the IROC badge. Can anyone shed some light on this?

If RPO codes confirm that it is indeed an Iroc, then someone must have swapped the emblem. If it is an Iroc, it would have come with the Iroc badge, only base Camaro's got the "Camaro" badge.

The assembly line may have run out of IROC badges or the guy had a hangover and did not care what went on the dash. We are talking about the Van Nuys Plant, need I say more.

maybe the dash was messed up at some point and when it was replaced they put that badge on there.

Engine: 5.7 Tuned Port Injection

Transmission: 700R4 Auto

Axle/Gears: BW 9-Bolt 3.27

It should say IROC-Z Z28. So if it doesn't, change it.
