SFA engine suffix code
SFA engine suffix code
Hello everyone. I am having trouble finding out eh suffix code for this engine. The code is SFA. I was told this engine is the police, 9C1, package. The engine is on a stand the letter are crystal clear. Here is the other ifno I have on this engine and tranny, I know what everything means except the tranny number and engine suffix code.
Block:V0626SFA = Flint June 26th, SFA=?
buid date: F197 = June 19th year 7
Block #: 14093638 = 86-87 truck or 87-95 car. one peice rear seal, valve cover bolts are in the center, roller engine, 2 bolt main. (these are correct as I have looked)
Heads: 14101083 = 87- ? years, 64 cc chambers, and 285 or 300hp, with center valve cover bolts
build dates: F087 and F057 = June 8th year 7 and June 5 year 7
Crank: 14088526 = 350 cast, 3.48 stroke, medium journals, and came in a 86-89 truck or 86-89 car
Tanny is a 700R4: 4YP339A = 4 means year 4 and it is a 84 because the pump # is380 it has 27 splines, no 'rainbow' casting marks and has the plugs on the pass side of the car. I just don't know where and when it was built and what car it was ment to go in.
Well if anyone can be of help with the SFA suffix I would GREATLY appreciate it, this could same me several hundred dollars or I might return the engine.
Thank You
Harry
