Both the Camaro and Firebird are F-cars, under GM...so that must mean the Bird gets priority...despite what it seems

what about the macho t/a. I heard something about that one and there was a discussion about it a couple weeks ago.

A Mecham T/A is a Macho T/A. Mecham is the name of the company, they made the Mechan MSE (motor sport edition). They were sometimes referred to as "Macho" T/A's.
A TransAm GT was a 1994 only model. In 94 the base TransAm did not have the large rear spoiler, the GT did, aswell as a few other options, it was the top of the line model.
I tried to just include cars that were available through the factory. Their are a ton of aftermarket conversions.

In the 3rd gen you missed Formula. You got 350 but not the plain Formula. Unless you meant that as well when you typed Formula (350)
In the 4th gen you missed The 10th aniversary Firehawk.

87WS6, thanks for metioning the 10th Hawk...how could I forget that, it is one of my favorites. I also edited the Formula, I did mean base Formy and 350, but I hope its a bit more clear.
I was just trying to keep the list simple. I could break the Hawks down even more model by model, etc...(So I will!) 93-97 Formula Firehawk, 99-02 Formula Firehawk, 99-02 TransAm Firehawk, 94 TransAm Firehawk Pilot cars, 97 LT4 Formula Firehawks, 01 10th Anniv. hawks...91 Hawks, 92 Hawks, competition package, and non comp package...Hehe. This is why I was trying to keep it simple.
Edit: Also 98 Firehawk Pilot cars (Thanks Alex)

Like i said, I was just trying to keep the list simple. The 98 pilot cars were not available to the public...so I did not mention them.
I was just trying to mention cars that were available through the factory. They had specific RPO's, not made by outside companies like Mecham, or Choo Choo Customs...

I would agree. If they weren't available to the public they shouldn't make the list. Also the 10th Aniv. Firehawk is one of my favorites too.
I know but I only mentioned them because all the one's that are left are owned by public citizens, SLP did sell them when they were finished with them. I just think if you are making a list of 4th gen Firehawks too you have to include the couple 98's, I mean you included the '94 Trans Am Pilot cars so why not the 98 pilot cars

Supreme Member
Alex, thanks, I did not know that the 98 pilot cars were sold to the public.

No problem. Keep in mind though that SLP did have to remove the fixed healights before they sold them though (couldn't get DOT approval) but they still have all the other Firehawks features. I think there is only 1 98 that actually still has the fixed headlights but I don't know where it is or who owns it...

What about the Hurst/Pontiac? Or was that the 10th ann. Firehawk?
Supreme Member
1976 50th Anniversary Trans Am-celebrating 50 years of Pontiacs.

another y'all have forgotten were the 455cu.inSD(Super Duty) Trans ams and the regular SD T/As of the early 70s.
Supreme Member
Oops, one other thing. Were the Nascar Eds the same as Pace Car Ed?
Supreme Member
Good call with the Lingenfelter Hurst Firebirds and Harley editions.
The Nascar editions were the pace cars.
I did not include the SuperDuty's because it was an optional motor, not a totally seperate model of Bird'. You are right about the 76 50th. I should include it as a seperate model also.

Some of them are anyway...
