I bought a new 1 at Classic industires and noticed that there is a circular indent in the middle of it which the originals did not have, they were flat and smooth. Did I get 1 that is messed up or is that the way they come now aftermarket from GM??

I don't know about the round shift ****, but I just bought one from GM for my '90 with 700 R4, and the handle is "different" it looks the same, but there are a couple small differences, maybe it's a way to tell if it's original equipment or not.
