I own an 86 Trans Am, 5.0 L, 305 ci, auto trans, carbuerated. I was just wondering what type of carb did the car come with? Did this car have good gas mileage?

have they been set up right??????

I have an 86 Camaro, with the same setup. Dunno about yours, but mine is computer controlled, and is by far, the best carbed car I have ever owned!

(not forgetting a UK gallon is slightly bigger) I have touched 30 mpg several times, on motorway trips, and 23 - 25 is quite regular, if you avoid urban milage. I have never sufferd any hesitation, misfires, stumbles etc etc.....

properly set up, they're fine.

An Edlebrock open element, and flowmaster 80 series helps as well.
