Quick quesiton

I have a huge problem, im going off to college in a year and my father is making me put my 86 camaro on the side of the house for insurance reasons... I want to keep it but it will be about 6 years until im out of college. I wanted to know how much you fellas think i could get for it. Its an 86, 305, 4-barrel quadrajet, 3" american thunder flowmaster exhaust system, 2 month old michilen g-force tires, clutch/flywheel/pressure plate installed about 9 months ago, i have a 2" harwood fiber glass cowl induction hood i want to put on it, its the iroc-z package, unfortunatly its got 170k miles on it. I have done plenty of other things like tune ups and hoses, sending units, rebuilt carb, etc. I bought it for 3 grand, put about 4 into it. I just wanted to know whats a reasonable price to ask for something like this, i took good care of it, cleaned it at least once every 3 days, interior is clean, has a cd player. Thank you guys for reading and thanks to the ones that respond.

according to Kelly Blue book online, your car is worth $1,500

You could probly get more outta it than that.

I'd say dont get rid of it. You will probably regret it the rest of your life.

Set it up for a long term storage, if your dad is willing to put it on the side of the house, get a car port for it. Put it on jackstands, drain all of the fluids.

Or, see if you can get your dad to start it once a day..

Try to keep it.

heres what i did

i was recenlty thinkin of sellin my 87 lt camaro....that ive had for 2 years now. yesterday i drove around and looked at all the other thirdgens in my town. none of them looked as good as mine. i also drove my parents cars around to see if i could get used to not driving it. i hated my parents cars. brand new f*rd sportrac and a 98 chrysler cirrus. they dont even compare to my 87 LT and i know ill regret it if i sell it.....so im gonna hang onto it. you have an iroc...they only made those from 85-90 (actually 89.5) so in about 7-10 years your car will be a classic and worth a lot more than it is now. hang on to it man.....youll regret it if you sell it and cheat yourself!
