Rare GTA Notchback? *read*
I've been eyeing a 1988 GTA notchback for sale, and something seems wierd with it.
First, I've verified vins, rpo's and all that and here's what I come up with.
Its an 88 GTA with the AA8 rpo code. The notch looks very factory and also has the raised head rests in the back seats. Here's where the confusion sets in. According to every source I've looked at, GTA's could only be had with the L98/auto combo.... but this car has the 305 TPI/5-speed combo, and the vin verifies it. It also has t-tops.
Am I just mistaken in thinking the GTA's couldn't have a 5.0?

nevermind, I found out. Still a rare car. According to gtasourcepage.com , only 809 5 speed cars were built as GTA's. combine that with the AA8 code, might be something worth something in the future.
