A quick question about 92 T/A

I was looking at a 2002 WS6 the other day (the heritage one) when it occured to me that it was to commemorate the 10th year of the fire hawk. With that in mind I realized that the first firehawk would be a 1992. That means it's a thirdgen firehawk.
I've never seen a picture of this car (or maybe I have and didn't realize it) In any case could you guys perhaps post a pic of one (or a few) and if possible give a couple specs on the car's mechanical side (ie. hp, engine type, etc)

they are some sexy cars, that's for sure. 92GTA has one, see it here:

here's more about them in general:

they were some performance beasts, and rare as hell.

Wasn't the '91-'92 SLP Firehawk the fastest production 'bird ever made? Seems that I read it had a 0-60 time of like 4.6 seconds.....

Alright, someone's gotta give me some info on that center console in that 92 Firehawk in the link. Did it come out of another car, or somewhere on-line or is it completely custom? Here's a pic of it: Looks much better and fits the car better than the 4th gen ones

If you're talking about the yellow '02 special edition, that is a 35th anniversary car. It's not a Firehawk.

...With that in mind I realized that the first firehawk would be a 1992...
Nope. 1991 was the first year of the Firehawk. Type in "SLP Firehawk" on Yahoo and Google and you'll find all sorts of stuff you didn't know.

It's a custom console I'm pretty sure...

about halfway down on the 2nd link:

"This is the interior of Firehawk #003. You can see how SLP had to make a custom center console to handle the placement of the ZF-6 speed transmission. The prototype 'Hawk and #001 used a factory 5-spd console but this was found to be inadequate, hence the custom console"

I thought WS6 was the later 4th gen code for the firehawk option.. I know that the special edition was the 35th ann for the cammy, but someone on like firehawk.org stated that the yellow one was the 10th ann. of the firehawk.. oh well..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ack... I'm an idiot. 2001 was the 10th anni.

Anywho I guess that gets rid of my WS6 being the firehawk option.. I thought I Read that on that firehawk.org. anyway what's the rpo code for a firehawk package?

The Yellow and black Trans Am WS6 is not a 35th anniversary its the "Collectors Edition" because Trans Ams started in 69 so it cant be a 35th ann. edition. And the Firehawk is a WS6 just with added SLP parts ie. hood.

WU6 is the RPO for an LS1 Firehawk.

WS6 is the RPO for the Performance package on 96-02 cars (Ram-Air)

The Yellow 02 Collector Edition is a WS6. The CE was celebrating 35 years of Firebirds. (67-02). T/A's started in 69.

The 10th Anniversary Firehawk is a 2001. It was black with gold stripes and wheels.

10th Aniversary Firehawk is Black and Gold. Also the Firehawk had a different ram air hood. It's inlets matched the inlets on the bumper cover making it look like two large holes instead of four smaller ones. I have a picture on my home computer. At work I don't have access to it. But that is one way to tell the difference.

Let's not forget that the WS6 RPO has been around for quite some time.... since the second gen days, I do believe. Designates a suspension performance package on 2nd and 3rd gen cars....
