The "F" in the VIN shows it to be a 305. Just another dyslexic owner. Make that car dealer.

looks like a pretty nice car, i think when most people see the tpi they think 350 for some reason even though tpi was made for the 305.

I thought that the TPI was designed for the small block chevy . Chevrolet did put the TPI on the 305 in the Camaro First but wasn't it designed and installed on a 350 in 1985 for the Corvette??

Just wondering,

Later, Garrett

The Seller is not the Owner they may have screwed up the site or the owner could have slapped a 350 in to the car you never know.

Anyways if nothing else they fig some dumb person would buy the car & not know the Diffrance.

He claims its stock, and has 350/manual combo? The VIN has an F, its a 305. I already emailed him about the mistake. I did not flame him though. Perhaps he will correct the mistake, or clarify further.

As I said The seller is not the OWNER.
The information came from the OWNER so the seller has no idea what they have. they are a dealership.

They did change it On Aug-14-03 at 16:48:37 PDT, seller added the following information:
Please Note*

This vehicle has a 305 Cubic Inch engine from what we have found. Please make a note as we have listed it incorrectly at the top as a 350 Cubic Inch engine.

No, the story goes that GM was gunna make the 305 "THE" engine for performance cause of emissions and gas regulations... GM engineers that made it asked over and over agian if it was gunna be put on a 350 and the answer they kept getting was NO, the 350 is dead... So they designed it for the 305... Then the Vette team says, hey will this work on a 350... i can imagaine the look on the engineers faces...
Just like the 350 was made for the Camaro... not the Vette... now a 350 is a "Vette" engine... total crap!

EDIT: They changed it..

The ad for my '89 GTA said; "1989 Pontiac Trans Am TPI 5.7Liter with 12.000 kilometers" when I called the guy and asked about the transmission and he said it was a five speed my alarm bells went off!! Bogus!!! Anyway, I was intrigued about the mileage and went to check the car out last week and it turned out to be a genuine 5.0 5 speed GTA (Y84)with T-tops and tan leather and 12.900 kilometers which I believe to be real seeing the details on the car.
So I bought it although I still need to pick it up soon. Only thing it needs is paint (bright red)as it has stood outside covered in dirt for about four year until the current owner bought it.
