Production on 1989 Formula

I just bought an 89 Firebird Formula with the 305 TPI H.O. with two cats and 5 speed manual. Its got a 3.45 posi and it has the WS6 handling package. How rare is this car? And does anybody know possibly what its production could have been? Thanks.

Nice. You have one of the most desirable F-bodies! I'm not sure of the exact production numbers in 89, but the TPI 5spd combo is probably the most rare, as most of them are TBI automatics.

Overall, there were 16,670 Formulas produced in 1989. Let's see if I can break that down more...

91GunmetalRS - What's the RPO on that engine? I have the specs for '89, but it's not the easiest thing to navigate through.

1989 ENGINE
LB8 --- 24,968 (I know that's not you, cuz that's my car)
L03 --- 18,362
LB9 --- 6,478
B2L --- 13,041
LC2 --- 1,555

1989 TRANS
MX0 --- 55,297
MM5 --- 9,107

... This is probably in a tech resource somewhere on this site, eh?

I don't know if you are the original owner, but if you're not, it could have been replaced before you got it with a single cat. Don't know though, thats wierd.
