I have the opportunity to buy a 1980 Z28, it has an engine from a 70 vette, 3.73 posi rear, power options, straight body- NO rust, edelbrock, holley- all kinds of performance under the hood, cowl hood. It runs low 13s at the track with a mild cam..
the guy only wants $500 for it!
He's had it since he was 9, nearly 17 years, but he has a porsche now and does'nt see himself driving the camaro anymore.

My question is, are second gen parts as valuable as third gen parts? So if down the road some serious problem is found and I need to part it out I get my money back.

If this car was third gen I could easily clear $500 if i parted it out..
