Ive noticed while leaving work another 3rd gen in the parking lot.Its a nice car and I love my 3rd gens so today when the 2nd shift came in I asked about it.This is where it gets good.I didnt talk to the owner himself but supposedly its a "corvette in a camaro body" .Get this....its a IROC SS !!!I said I never heard of it,which he replied its a "1 of 300" made by a side company like the Firehawk.Supposedly it has a 400 turbo trans and a 400 hp STOCK 350!!!!!Smelled like to me.Anyone else?BTW I drove by it leaving and it has z28 badges but no IROC badges.Im thinking about getting the VIN monday to check

 

sounds like ...nm...it is! its not a IROC SS. it probably only has a 305/700r4.

The person that described the car to you probably screwed up the "It's got a Corvette motor in it" part. It might have the 350 and has been worked to give it 400 horses, but it's not a rare car. It was never made as an IROC-SS from an aftermarket comapny. The only real IROC-SS is an El Camino customized at Choo Choo Customs.
