Restored car on ebay... details true?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6161

It says the body was removed from the frame to be sandblasted... so right away I want to call

It sounds too nice to be true, is it?

it looks like it could be true- that's a really really nice car. But there's really no way to tell from pics, you'd have to look at it in person...

and drive it of course.....

Ya, I'm not exactly sure how you remove the body from the frame of a unibody car.

But that is a really nice car, probably legit.

I don't know why anyone would put that much money into the restoration of a third-gen. That sounds really expensive and kind of like something that may not be 100% true...

It's a nice car but way too much money.

I went to look at an old Corvette once that supposedly had a "frame off" resto. It was at some used car dealership. I had been at that dealership earlier and had seen this "frame off" resto in progress. While they did strip the car down to its frame, and painted the frame, the paint consisted of cans of spray paint and I don't think they even bothered to remove the corrosion before they painted it.

I guess everybody's idea of a "frame off" resto is different. Nonetheless, I tend to agree
