What model year do I have???

OK, the Z28+ is about 1 1/2 hours away from me so I can't get the VIN#. I do know its a V8, Manual Tranny, and that it was produced on 12/82. Since it was made so late in the year would it be considered an '83? I know some cars made that late in the year are marked as the new year. And a quick question, whats the "+" for after Z28?

I dont know about the year but the "+" that you talking about is probably the Chevrolet badge beside Z28.

Hmmm, maybe. I know what the Chevy symbol looks like but I can't see the car in person myself. When trying to get info about the Camaro, my aunt said it has "Z28+" under the door.

For a long time I thought my friends' RS said RS+ until I finally got close to it and noticed it had a Chevrolet badge beside RS. Thats probably what your aunt saw because I've never heard of a Z28+.

Yes, its a Chevy badge next to the Z28 badge.

When I was a kid and too young to realise what it was I thought my neighboors car said RS+ too. Don't feel bad you are not the only one.

If its a 4 speed manual, its prolly '82. If its a 5 speed, prolly an '83.

Just a place to start from.

Considering the 83 models would have went on sale about the beginning of September of 82, being manufactured after that would make it an 83.

Well, if its a 4-speed, check to see if its got an aluminum case. If it does, you have a T10, which is a pretty rare find, and is actually stronger than any of the early T5s were too.
